A tradition just as time-honored as the main event, the Parade Balloon Inflation occurs nearby the American Museum of Natural History from 3:00 to 10:00pm on Wednesday, November 22nd. Weave through the awe-struck crowd as you watch your favorite characters take shape and prepare for their trip through the city!
Where to Watch:
Witness the parade in all of its splendor along its familiar two-and-a-half-mile route. The parade will begin at 9:00am on Central Park West at 77th Street, and travel south until it wraps around the Park at 59th Street. Next, it will turn onto Sixth Avenue and again travel south, culminating at Macy’s Herald Square on 34th Street. Of course, you can always watch the show from your living room live on NBC.
Who to Watch:
Some of your all-time favorite characters will join new trends at the 2017 Parade. Keep your eyes peeled for all balloons including Pillsbury Doughboy, Ice Age’s Scrat (and his Acorn), Ronald McDonald, Diary of a Wimpy Kid’s Greg Heffley, and of course, Charlie Brown. The parade would be nothing without its floats; so be sure to welcome the Big Apple, The Aloha Spirit, and Santa’s Sleigh. Dancing performers, marching bands and singing groups will make this parade one you’ll never forget.
